Harold Wayne Herrin, age 76, of Waxahachie passed away Friday, June 13, 2008 at Renfro Healthcare Center. He was born September 7, 1931 to Earnest William and Jewel Bessie (Brewer) Herrin in Mertens, Texas. Harold served in the United States Army and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 39 years of service as a truck driver. He was a dedicated and hard worker who loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Harold is survived by his wife Ethel of Waxahachie; his children, Connie, Patty Wallis, Mike Herrin, Jimmy Herrin, Paula Herrin, Mark Herrin, Steve Shepard and his wife Alea, Linda Wynns and her husband Ronnie and Jamie McLaurin; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and a sister Marie Cohagen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Melva Strength; brother, Paul Herrin.
Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 17 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
