Biography

Bobbie Dorothy Thompson, age 83, of Italy, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She was born January 8, 1927 in Waxahachie to Robert Kelley and Myrtle Woods. She was a member of the DAV, the Italy Cemetery Association and the Central Baptist Church. Bobbie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Tracy Venable of Waxahachie, Jason Uehlinger of Italy, Jamie Uehlinger of Nashville, TN and Casey Johnson of Midlothian; son-in-law, Homer Uehlinger of Italy; nephew, Bobby Drew Whitefield of Victoria and two great grandchildren, Bailey Venable and Blake Venable. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Thompson; daughter, Kayrene Uehlinger; two sons, Robert Kelley Thompson and Michael Lee Thompson; sister, Mildred Splawn.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Central Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Gray officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.
