Biography

Claudine Williford Gregory of Waxahachie passed this earthly life on February 26, 2010 at Buffalo Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care in Waxahachie. She was born in Hill County on August 4, 1925 to Carson and Ida Mae Williford. Claudine was a beloved member of the Aquilla Church of Christ for many years and a former member of the College Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She loved all those around her and her great faith was the center of her life. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother meant everything to her. She was an excellent homemaker, seamstress, decorator, cook and loved shopping. She and her sister Voe Barrett had a very special relationship and often quilted together.

Surviving are her loving and devoted husband Hollis; one daughter, Mayleen Peters and husband Steven of Red Oak; four grandchildren, Traci Brooks, Casey Gregory and wife Kim, Dean Gregory and Leanne Kepley and husband David; three great grandchildren, Ethan, Tyler and Harrison; daughter-in-law Patricia Ann Gregory of Waxahachie and many nieces and nephews, plus a host of extended family friends. Her son Terry Lee Gregory preceded her in death in 2007, as well as her sister Onice Neagle and brothers, Doc, Jolly and Dale.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Funeral services will be 2PM Monday, March 1, 2010 in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie with Glenn Gray and Walter Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at the Vaughn Cemetery in Hill County.
