Biography

Uneeda “Peet” Yarbrough, age 94, of Euless, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at her home. She was born July 11, 1915 in Waxahachie to John Nelson and Hattie Belle (Church) McCaleb. Uneeda graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1934. She was a member of the Eastern Star from 1955 to 1985 and served as Worthy Matron from 1962 to 1963. She was a member of the South Euless Baptist Church in Euless. She taught Sunday school for 30 years working especially with the youth at the Sardis United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Gail White and her husband Allen of Euless and Kay Hodge and her husband Robert of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Marcia, John and Randy; great grandchildren, Haley, Lauren and John, Jr.; great-great grandchildren, Gracie, Gabriel and Gianna; sister, Mary Belle Almand of Fort Worth and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Yarbrough; five sisters and one brother.
